Political analyst says Alaskan meeting between US and Russia may have pushed Trump closer to Ukraine

The presidents of Russia and the US have said their Alaska meeting over the Ukraine war was productive, despite not reaching a deal. President Donald Trump has made ending the three-and-a-half-year war a priority in his second term in office. He's also set his sights on resolving the long-standing middle east conflict and has claimed credit for ending several other conflicts since entering the Oval Office in January.
