Wrexham AFC is adjusting to life in the EFL Championship after a historic return to England’s second tier for the first time in 43 years.
The club, co-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, achieved three consecutive promotions, culminating in their Championship debut in August 2025.
Facing stronger competition, Wrexham has invested heavily in new signings, including Nathan Broadhead for £10 million, to bolster their squad.
Despite a challenging start, including a 2–1 loss to Southampton, the club remains determined to establish themselves in the Championship.
