Kuomintang lawmaker Lo Chih-chiang has announced he will run for chair of Taiwan's main opposition party with current leader Eric Chu set to finish his term in October. Lo's promising to unify the party by rallying around the woman seen as its best prospect for the 2028 presidential election, Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen.
