Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday (Sept 2) he was grateful to Chinese President Xi Jinping, his "dear friend," for the warm welcome he has received during his trip to China.

The meeting is part of a series of bilateral talks held on the eve of a massive military parade in China.
