Mercedes-Benz CEO says new electric GLC brings best parts of driving electrically forward

Mercedes CEO Ola Kaellenius said on Sunday that the company's new electric GLC would bring the best parts of driving electrically forward.

"It's a massively important car," said Kaellenius while presenting the car ahead of the IAA auto show in Munich. "The new electric GLC will be the first model to fully incorporate the evolution of our design language."

With the ongoing tariff dispute, Mercedes-Benz and its European peers are currently also awaiting a lowering of U.S. auto import tariffs to 15% from 27.5%, something Washington has pledged as part of the European Union's move to eliminate tariffs on most U.S. goods.
