Sindelfingen – ‘Odgipig 1973 (UK, Progressive/Folk Rock)

The band’s only album. Bonuses from the never-released second album (actually the first one) were added. The music is very eclectic: Classical, Folk, Avante-Garde and Rock. It can be compared with “Gnidrolog”, “Jethro Tull”, with early “Gentle Giant”, “Genesis”, “King Crimson”. Perhaps, in its jazziness, it is even closer to the Canterbury bands, especially “Caravan”. Drummer Roger Thorn left the band at the end of 1973 and was replaced by 12-year-old Matthew Letley, brother of bassist Mark Letley. In 2000, Matthew Letley became the drummer of “Status Quo”.
