An armed gang staged a daring daylight heist at the State Bank of India branch in Chadachan, Vijayapura district, Karnataka, on Tuesday, escaping with cash and gold worth ₹21.04 crore. As per branch manager Tarakeshwara’s complaint, three men entered posing as account seekers, then brandished pistols and knives, tied up staff and customers with plastic tags, and forced open the bank’s cash and gold lockers.
