The war film *Evil Unbound* explores Japan’s germ warfare in China, focusing on the atrocities committed by the notorious Unit 731. It will premiere on September 18 in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, and New Zealand, aligning with the anniversary of the 1931 September 18 Incident. Set during the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the movie depicts inhumane human experiments and large-scale biological warfare that killed hundreds of thousands. Recently, new evidence of Unit 731’s crimes has been unveiled in Harbin and by Russia’s Federal Security Service, including archival records, photos, videos, and declassified documents. Through its release, the film seeks to shed light on this dark history and commemorate the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance and the World Anti-Fascist War.
