The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian mission sailing in international waters is expected to enter the R3 red zone about 100 nautical miles from Gaza at 9pm Wednesday (Malaysian time), said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
He said contingency measures are ready should the flotilla be intercepted or communications cut off, adding that a third group carrying a Malaysian team will soon depart from Greece.
Fahmi also said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi would issue an official statement soon regarding the US’ latest Gaza peace proposal.
