Demarai Gray hailed Birmingham City’s character after they once again kept right on until the very end to snatch a point against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

Gray, back in royal blue after almost a decade away, knows what resilience means at St Andrew’s. A product of Blues’ academy, he broke through as a teenager before moving on to the Premier League and Europe, but his roots remain firmly in Birmingham.
