The diesel engine suddenly had a rev limit to 3K about 200 meters from the destination after a whole day driving about 3+ hours with my daughter for 1 day weekly visitation. The engine rev limiting suddenly stopped after dropping my daughter home.

The engine problem has never occurred before or since this one time problem, even after driving another 4 hour drive the next day.
