Birmingham City Football Club is preparing for a transformative new era, with plans for a state-of-the-art 62,000-seat stadium and an accompanying “Sports Quarter” in Bordesley Green. The ambitious £3 billion project, spearheaded by co-owners Tom Brady and Tom Wagner, aims to elevate the club’s infrastructure and create a hub for sports, entertainment, and community activities.

The stadium will be designed by acclaimed American architect Dan Meis, who masterminded Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium. The futuristic, “spaceship”-like design is expected to feature a partially retractable roof, solar panels, and advanced lighting systems, reflecting sustainable building practices.
