Budget 2026: 4,500 contract doctors to get permanent positions

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that under Budget 2026, 4,500 contract doctors will be offered permanent positions, adding to the 12,900 already absorbed.
He also said that 935 nursing graduates will be appointed to permanent roles.
