Faridabad: In a daring daylight theft, two bike-borne miscreants stole a bag containing ₹12 lakh in cash by breaking the window of a parked car in Sector 24, Faridabad, on Friday. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed outside a company.

According to police, the victim, Rahul, who runs KD Industries with his partner Vikas, had withdrawn ₹7 lakh from a bank and brought another ₹5 lakh from home before arriving at their factory in Sector 24. After parking his car outside, Rahul reportedly went to the bathroom, leaving the bag inside the vehicle.

Within minutes, two men wearing helmets arrived on a motorbike, smashed the car window with a sharp object, took the bag, and fled the spot.

Police suspect the accused had been following Rahul’s car from the bank. Four police teams — from Crime Branch Uncha Gaon, Crime Branch 48, Crime Branch 56, and Mujesar Police Station — have been formed to track down the culprits.

Police spokesperson Yashpal confirmed that the search is underway using CCTV footage from the area.
