Premier Cho Jung-tai has ordered an investigation into a suspected African swine fever in central Taiwan. The agriculture ministry says a farm noticed pigs dying but waited ten days to test for the disease. In May, Taiwan was declared the only Asian country to be free of all three major swine diseases.
