US pact needs no government spending, protects standards, says Zafrul

The newly signed reciprocal trade agreement between the United States and Malaysia does not involve government spending or compromise national standards, said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz in Parliament on Oct 29.

Zafrul dismissed claims that the agreement requires public funds, stressing all procurements are purely commercial.
