Chico Magnetic Band — Chico Magnetic Band 1971 (France, Heavy Psychedelic Rock)
The only LP by the French psychedelic band Chico Magnetic Band, released on the Disques Vogue label in 1971. The group was formed in Lyon in 1969 and led by Algerian Mahmoud Ayari, nicknamed "Chico." Ayari's idol was Jimi Hendrix, so it's no surprise that the album borrows heavily from the legendary guitarist. All of this is complemented by powerful psychedelic jams, the abundance of which can temporarily disrupt one's perception of the world. The group disbanded shortly after the release of the album.
