History made: Detroiters elects city's first female mayor

New Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield celebrated after winning the mayoral race with almost 80% of the vote. Hundreds packed out the MGM Grand Ballroom to celebrate before the results were announced, confident that this would be the outcome.
