Qantas is entering a new era of aviation with its ambitious Project Sunrise, aiming to launch nonstop flights lasting up to 22 hours between Australia, London, and New York. The first Airbus A350-1000ULR, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, is now in final assembly at Airbus’s Toulouse facility.
With just 238 seats and a dedicated Wellbeing Zone designed for stretching and relaxation, the aircraft is built for maximum comfort on ultra-long journeys. Delivery is scheduled for late 2026, marking the beginning of a new generation of nonstop intercontinental travel.
