Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Season is highlighting 70 years of diplomatic ties with Japan through a vibrant cultural celebration at the historic Al-Tawalie area in Diriyah.
This year’s Souq Al-Mawsim festival features Japan as the guest country, showcasing shared traditions, cultural similarities, and artistic performances.
Visitors enjoyed a special appearance by Japan’s Awaodori Team, who performed the traditional folklore dance Kasumirne on Friday (November 14).
Souq Al-Mawsim — one of Diriyah’s oldest markets — continues to serve as a hub for cultural exchange, offering workshops, live performances, and immersive heritage experiences.
Diriyah Season aims to elevate historic Diriyah as a leading cultural, social, and creative destination, reflecting its role as the birthplace of the First Saudi State.
