Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel’s military successfully killed Hezbollah’s top military leader, Ali Tabatabai, in a precision strike on Beirut’s southern suburb.

Netanyahu warned that Israel will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its forces and urged the Lebanese government to fulfill its commitment to disarm the terror group.

The strike, targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah’s acting chief of staff, marks the first Israeli attack on the outskirts of Beirut in months, despite a U.S.-brokered truce.
