China has officially unveiled the Yggdrasil-1000 (YK-1000) hypersonic missile, and the launch footage released on the Chinese platform Bilibili drew global attention for explicitly depicting Japan as the target during the demonstration.

According to the information presented in the video and shared by Bilibili.com, the YK-1000 missile has a range between 500 and 1,300 km, an estimated speed between Mach 5 and Mach 7, and the capability to maintain powered flight for up to 360 seconds.
