Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has firmly rejected reports suggesting that Tehran has engaged in back-channel negotiations with the United States. Speaking during a televised address, Khamenei called the claims “a complete lie,” insisting that no secret talks with Washington have taken place.

He accused the US of spreading misinformation and criticised what he described as its “war-mongering” behaviour in Latin America, saying American policies are destabilising the region.
