राजस्थान के एक गाँव में सदियों पुरानी बावड़ी है, जहाँ रात होते ही एक औरत के रोने की आवाज़ सुनाई देती है। दोस्तों की चुनौती पर एक 23 वर्षीय युवक उसे देखने पहुँचा। उसने जैसे ही नीचे झाँका, पानी में उसका अपना चेहरा दिखा—लेकिन वह चेहरा मुस्कुरा रहा था, जबकि वह खुद डरा हुआ था। अगले ही पल पानी उबलने लगा और एक ठंडा हाथ बाहर निकलकर उसकी गर्दन पकड़ लिया। कोशिश करने पर भी वह हाथ और कसता गया। तभी बावड़ी की गहराई में से एक औरत की दहला देने वाली आवाज़ आई— “नीचे आ…”
सुबह जब लोग पहुँचे, तो पानी लाल था और वह युवक गायब। आज भी कहा जाता है कि जो बावड़ी में झाँकता है… वो वापस नहीं आता।
In a Rajasthani village stands a centuries-old stepwell, from which people often hear a woman crying at night. One night, a 23-year-old man went there on a dare. As he peered down, he saw his reflection—smiling, even though he was terrified. Suddenly, the water started boiling and a hand emerged, gripping his neck. The harder he tried to escape, the tighter it held. A chilling voice echoed from the depths— “Come down…”
By morning, the water had turned red, and the young man had vanished. Locals still say: anyone who looks into the stepwell… never returns.
