The flight traveling from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted mid-air following an email warning of a human bomb on board. Upon landing, the plane was transferred to an isolation area where bomb disposal teams inspected it and confirmed the alarm was false. Official data indicates that in 2024 alone, authorities recorded 999 false bomb threat calls. The aviation security agency has proposed a flight ban of up to five years for anyone issuing such alarms.
