राजस्थान (Rajasthan) के हनुमानगढ़ (Hanumangarh) जिले में स्थित एक एथेनॉल फैक्ट्री को लेकर चल रहा विरोध प्रदर्शन अचानक हिंसक हो गया। गुस्साए प्रदर्शनकारियों और किसानों ने फैक्ट्री के ऑफिस में आग लगा दी और वहां खड़ी 18 गाड़ियों को फूंक दिया। स्थिति को संभालने के लिए पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज (Lathicharge) किया, जिसमें करीब 50 किसान घायल बताए जा रहे हैं। हिंसा इतनी बढ़ गई कि प्रशासन को मौके पर भारी पुलिस बल तैनात करना पड़ा और एहतियातन पूरे इलाके में इंटरनेट सेवाएं (Internet Shutdown) बंद कर दी गई हैं। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, पुलिस की सख्ती और लाठीचार्ज के बाद कई ग्रामीण और घायल लोग डर के मारे अपना घर छोड़कर भाग गए हैं और उन्होंने नजदीकी गुरुद्वारे में शरण ली है।
