Story Description – Updated (English Translation)
In the hilly town of Dulabari, Nepal—a quiet place wrapped in mist—an eerie “sound of footsteps” is suddenly heard at night.
The mystery of that sound becomes entangled with two young men—Atish, a goldsmith, and Arif, his close friend and partner.
One night, while they were working in their small flat, their landlady Saraswati Devi arrived with a warning:
“Shadows roam this flat at night… if you hear footsteps, do not open the door.”
From that moment, strange events begin to unfold.
A piece of jewellery crafted by Atish suddenly loses its colour.
Soon after, a phone call comes from a businessman named Rahul Sen, his voice trembling as he pleads for help.
At Rahul’s house, they uncover the first clues—
a blood-stained idol, a torn diary, and a sketch of a godown.
Those clues lead them to Mala Di’s shop, where a reporter listens to everything with suspicious eyes.
Mala Di hands Atish a mysterious letter—
“If you want the truth, go to the library.”
In the final chapter, Atish and Arif reach Rahul Sen’s library—
there, in the darkness, the terrifying footsteps return, and they come face to face with a human-shaped shadow—
Rahul’s brother, believed by everyone to be dead.
The fire of his revenge is what has brought Dulabari’s shadow to life.
