One of the Bondi Beach shooting suspects, Sajid Akram, originally from Hyderabad, held an Indian passport despite migrating to Australia nearly 30 years ago. He was shot dead by police during the antisemitic Hanukkah attack that killed 15. His son, Naveed Akram, survived and is hospitalized under guard, as investigators call the attack Islamic State–inspired.
