In the spring of 1969, two former members of Egg & Bacon, lead guitarist Danny Andrey and bassist Teddy Riedo, formed a new band. Ertlif was essentially the first progressive rock band in Switzerland. The band's superb musicianship made them the pride of the country. The music is dominated by Mellotron, organ, and synthesizer. The vocals are in English.Ertlif was a semi-unknown band from Switzerland. This album is characterized by an organ-driven and hard-edged progressive rock, with a minor spacey vein. Imagine a mix of Pacific Sound, Paternoster, Jane and Frame.
