The fourth T20I of the five-match series between India and South Africa was abandoned due to excessive fog at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, leaving thousands of fans furious and disappointed after turning up in large numbers.

With India leading the series 2-1, excitement was high, but dense fog delayed the toss. The BCCI confirmed that visibility concerns forced officials to conduct six inspections, after which umpires ruled conditions unfit for play. The match was ultimately called off without a single ball being bowled, triggering anger among fans who had waited for hours in the cold.

The fifth and final T20I between India and South Africa will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on December 19, where fans will hope for clear weather and a decisive finish to the series.
