The first nor’easter of the season has slammed into the Midwest and Northeast, bringing record-breaking snowfall and causing chaos across the US travel system. Over 5,300 flights were canceled or delayed, with Chicago O’Hare seeing its snowiest November day ever. Northern New England is now bracing for up to 10 inches of snow, as black ice, fog and freezing conditions make roads treacherous. With transatlantic flights also affected, the winter travel nightmare is just beginning.
