Marcos to ensure 'clean, people-centered' 2026 budget — Palace

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will thoroughly study the proposed 2026 national budget and veto questionable provisions before enacting it into law by yearend, Malacañang assures the public on Dec. 19, 2025. Speaking to reporters, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that Marcos would have no holidays to ensure a 'clean' and 'people-centered' spending plan.
