Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro urged US President Donald Trump to focus on domestic issues amid heightened tensions over Venezuelan oil tanker seizures.

Speaking at La Expo Motores Productivos 2025 in Caracas, Maduro said, “Each president should mind his own business,” criticizing US actions including airspace blockades and tanker seizures.

He also mentioned that the Venezuelan Congress is moving forward with a law to protect its vessels and safeguard international oil trade, calling it a defense against piracy and external interference.

This statement follows Trump’s announcement of a blockade targeting sanctioned Venezuelan tankers, claiming they were used to finance illicit activities.
