According to the latest data from the International Monetary Fund, Taiwan’s GDP per capita has reached US$37,830, surpassing South Korea for the first time in more than two decades. Taiwan per capita GDP is now the fourth highest in East Asia, trailing only the city-economies of Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong.
