Founder of food rescue organisation says Australians aren’t getting a ‘fair go’

Food insecurity is at a record high across Australia, with 3.5 million households recognised as food insecure. December is food charity OzHarvest’s busiest month for food rescues, where surplus food is collected from businesses where it otherwise would have been thrown out. OzHarvest says food rescues have peaked at 400 tonnes a week, up from 300 the same time last year. Ronni Kahn is the founder of OzHarvest.
