On Monday, the Eastern Theater Command reported that the People’s Liberation Army of China launched large-scale joint military exercises around Taiwan, involving ground, naval, air, and missile forces. Spokesperson Colonel Shi Yi stated that the maneuvers began in the strait and in areas to the north, southwest, southeast, and east of the island. The exercise, named *Fair Mission-2025*, focuses on air and naval alert patrols, comprehensive takeover strategies, blockades of key ports and areas, and multidimensional deterrence. Shi emphasized that ships and aircraft are approaching Taiwan from multiple directions to test rapid maneuverability and integrated coordination in executing a systematic encirclement strategy.
