Barney's Magical Musical Adventure follows Barney and the Backyard Gang (Min, TIna, Michael and Derek) as they use their imagination to journey from building a sandcastle to a real magical castle in a forest, meeting Twynkle the Elf who guides them through games and riddles before they meet the King, who tasks them with castle duties, leading to songs, a tea party, and ultimately being made princes and princesses before returning home.
