The Democratic Republic of Congo accused Rwanda of killing approximately 1,500 civilians in December along the Kamayola–Uvira axis, allegedly using bombs and drones. The Ministry of Communication demanded urgent international intervention and the withdrawal of foreign forces from Congolese territory. Authorities stressed that the death toll remains provisional, noting that more than 500,000 people have been displaced. Kinshasa also accused Kigali of backing M-23 offensives, denouncing the actions as a grave violation of national sovereignty and international law.
