On Monday, organizations of the British chapter of the Anti-Fascist International (AFI) rallied outside Downing Street in solidarity with Venezuela. More than one thousand people took to the streets of London to protest the attacks against the South American nation, demanding the return of President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores. Demonstrators called for an end to British support for aggression against Venezuela and urged the immediate restitution of Venezuela’s gold held in the Bank of England. They also defended Venezuela’s right to self-determination. Mobilizations were also reported over the weekend in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, and Birmingham.
