A shocking incident has been reported from Kapsad village under Sardhana police station limits in Meerut district, where a woman was brutally attacked while resisting the kidnapping of her 20-year-old daughter. The woman later succumbed to her injuries.

According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday morning when Sunita was heading to the fields with her daughter. A youth from the same village allegedly tried to forcibly take the girl along with him. When Sunita objected and tried to stop him, the accused attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon, inflicting severe injuries.

Hearing her screams, villagers working nearby rushed to the spot, forcing the accused to flee. Sunita was first taken to the Sardhana Community Health Centre and later referred to a hospital in Meerut, where she remained on a ventilator. After battling for nearly seven hours, she died due to excessive blood loss.

Police have registered a case of attempted kidnapping and murder. The accused has been identified, and Meerut police have formed five special teams to arrest him. Search operations are underway using technical surveillance and local inputs. Police have increased patrolling in the area to ensure safety.

The incident has triggered fear and anger in the village, with residents demanding swift arrest and strict punishment for the accused.
