As temperatures drop well below freezing, families are enduring nights without warmth or electricity, facing growing uncertainty as officials warn this could become the coldest and darkest winter of the war.

Local authorities say Friday’s attack briefly cut power and heat to nearly the entire city. While some electricity and water were partially restored, vast neighborhoods remain vulnerable. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy calls the situation “extremely difficult,” as emergency crews work nonstop to stabilize the grid.
