In Argentina, wildfires in Patagonia have consumed more than 15,000 hectares of native forest, leaving destroyed homes in their wake and placing the entire region on alert. According to the Provincial Fire Management Service, the most critical hotspot is located in Chubut province near the town of Epuyén, where hundreds of firefighters and volunteers are working tirelessly to contain the flames. Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres described the situation as “very critical,” despite a slight improvement in conditions.
