Don Anderson — Feelin' Alright 1972 (Germany, Folk'Psychedelic, Progressive Rock)

The Croatian musician, vocalist, and producer was born on October 19, 1952, in Zadar, Yugoslavia (now Croatia). His real name was Edo Zanki. At the age of five, he moved to Germany with his family. His brother, Vilko, was a professional musician, so it's no surprise that Edo also became interested in music at the age of 14 and began playing in teenage bands such as "Edo and Markees" and "Edo and Friends." Beginning in 1972, he adopted the stage name Don Anderson and began his musical career. Under this name, he recorded two singles: "Beautiful Sunday/Mr. Odysseus (1971) and Hey Everybody/Feelin' Alright (1972), and also released two albums: Feelin' Alright (1972) and The Eagle Flies (1973). The first album featured Joy Fleming and other musicians who would later form the core of the Ralf Nowy Group. His recordings are reminiscent of the Australian prog band Pirana. He recorded for Global Records. Since 1977, the musician began performing under his real name Zanki, and since 1983, as Edo Zanki. Unfortunately, he switched entirely to performing commercial pop music.
