A railway power outage in Tokyo disrupted the morning commute for thousands on Friday (Jan 16), as services on two major lines serving some of the world’s busiest stations were suspended following reports of a fire.
Passengers were seen being assisted off an East Japan Railway (JR East) Keihin-Tohoku Line train that was stranded between stations and escorted along the tracks to safety by firefighters and railway staff.
