Barisan Nasional candidate for the Kinabatangan parliamentary by-election Mohd Kurniawan Naim Moktar said he will focus on improving rural road access and empowering the fishermen's economy if elected as the constituency's representative.

Meanwhile, BN candidate for the Lamag by-election, Mohd Ismail Ayob, launched the manifesto themed “Lamag New Face” on Saturday (Jan 17), outlining seven pledges for the Lamag State Legislative Assembly constituency.
