Since the second interpretation featured in this post was erroneously credited to Jack Payne instead of the Savoy Hotel Orpheans, here is the corrected video. These are three different versions of a well-known operetta aria, two of them in an interesting dance band adaptation. The first one is by the Savoy Hotel Orpheans in a rare and amazing, early 30's promotional record that might have been offered to buyers of a gramophone. For more information on this orchestra, I invite you to check my other Savoy Hotel Orpheans uploads. The second one is a different, expertly written arrangement of the previous dance band adaptation in a commercial 1931 issue. The last one is the 1935 English version of the original Lehár composition, superbly interpreted by the tenor who sang the premiere six years earlier (the accompanying orchestra remained uncredited).
