A second deadly train crash has occurred in Spain just days after a two-train collision left at least 43 people dead in the southern part of the country over the weekend. On Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 9:23 p.m. local time, a Rodalies train was near Gelida station, about 20 miles northwest of Barcelona in the Catalonia region, when it struck segments of a retaining wall that had collapsed onto the track, according to a preliminary report from the transportation ministry. One trainee conductor died, according to officials.
