As the only all-electric SUV with Trail Rated certification, the Jeep Recon is designed to conquer any type of terrain—from city streets to remote off-road trails.

At the heart of the powertrain are the front and rear electric drive modules (EDMs) developed by Stellantis, each delivering 250 kilowatts of power. These provide standard electric all-wheel drive and instant torque on demand. Each EDM integrates the electric motor, transmission, and power electronics into a single compact unit for increased efficiency.

The powertrain delivers 840 Nm of torque instantly—without waiting for the engine to rev up. The accelerator pedal is calibrated to deliver controlled and precise torque, enabling a confident off-road experience. To further enhance its off-road capability, the Moab model uses a 15:1 final drive ratio in the rear, which significantly multiplies torque and allows it to easily handle even the most challenging conditions.

The Jeep Recon's off-road capability is enhanced by an electronic locking differential that distributes torque evenly to both rear wheels when needed. This maintains traction even on challenging terrain. A switch allows the differential to be toggled from open to fully locked.
