Just after midnight, Ukrainian drones struck oil sites and prompted temporary closures at three Moscow airports, highlighting long-range reach and transport disruption. Ukrainian drones traveled more than 1,100 kilometers to hit facilities in Krasnodar Krai, Kaluga, and the Republic of Tatarstan. Targets included oil refineries, depots, fuel storage, air defenses, and command posts, with fires at several sites and a Tor M2 system reported destroyed. Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces cited 10 targets in one night, naming the Ilsky and Tuapse refineries and damage at Almetyevsk. Strikes were also noted at Lyudinovo and at a depot linked to Russia’s 51st Army near Ilovaisk. On January 3–4, Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports temporarily closed and nearly 200 flights were grounded across the capital region.
