A disturbing case involving a child has been reported from Pune, where a woman allegedly attacked her two children at their residence in the Wagholi area on Baif Road.

According to police, the accused woman allegedly caused the dth of her 11-year-old son and seriously iured her 13-year-old daughter using a sharp object. The boy dd on the spot, while the girl sustained multiple iuries and was rushed to hospital. Her condition remains critical.

The accused has been identified as Soni Santosh Jaybhay, a native of Kandhar in Nanded district, who was living with her family in Wagholi. The deceased child has been identified as Sairaj Santosh Jaybhay, while the i**ured girl is Dhanashree Santosh Jaybhay.

Police have arrested the woman and registered a case in connection with the incident. The motive behind the attack is not yet clear. Investigators are examining whether the act was linked to a family dispute or mental stress.
